Kairat Nazhmidenov has almost 20 years of experience in analysis of agriculture and food industries, market and economic research, agricultural policy and rural development. He supports the FAO member countries in the formulation, development, implementation and completion evaluation of investment projects funded by the World Bank, FAO and IFAD. He has worked in agriculture, livestock and rural development, pasture improvement, rural finance, irrigation, forestry, fisheries, nutrition sensitive and climate smart agriculture in the Eastern Europe (Albania, Belarus, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Ukraine), South Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia), Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan) and Southeast Asia (Philippines). His recent work includes several regional and national sector studies on food chains, livestock sector and fodder production.
