Jean-Jacques Soulacroup
Senior Corporate Banker for the Eastern Neighbouring region, EIB (Luxembourg)
Jean-Jacques Soulacroup joined the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg in 2003 to develop the EIB lending activities for Mediterranean countries, working on Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco. Changing his geographical focus in 2008, he became the Country Manager for China. In 2012, Mr Soulacroup was appointed as Resident Representative and Head of the EIB office in China, covering China, South Korea and Mongolia.
Since 2015, Mr Soulacroup is handling Corporate financing in all Eastern neighbour countries of the European Union, covering Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and South Caucasus, with the objective of actively developing and strengthening the Corporate Finance activity of the EIB in this region.
As a result, the Bank is increasing steadily its footprint in corporate financing throughout the region and in particular in Ukraine.
Jean-Jacques Soulacroup, started his career as Senior Architect and Urban Planner with the French Ministry of Public Works, before joining the French Embassy in Washington DC (USA) as a Trade Attache.
Prior to the European Investment Bank, in 1999 Mr Soulacroup joined the World Bank, in Washington DC, to lead numerous infrastructure projects in countries such as Russia, the Caucasus, Turkey and Morocco.
Jean-Jacques Soulacroup is the Beaux Art school and the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées graduate with a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning. Mr Soulacroup has an MBA from the Sorbonne University in Paris (France).
