Yaroslav Dubnevich
People’s deputy of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, chairman of the Committee on transport issues
Yaroslav Dubnevich for 18 years held senior positions in commercial structures, as well as in local authorities. He was the deputy of Pustomytiv district council, the deputy of Lviv regional council, the representative of “Ukrzaliznytsia” in the Secretariat of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
In 2012, for the first time, he was elected as the people’s deputy of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Parliament of Ukraine) of the VII legislature and in 2 years proceeded with the mandate at the VIII legislature. In December 2014 he headed the Committee on transport issues of Verkhovna Rada. He is the member of the fraction of Petro Poroshenko Bloc.
Yaroslav Dubnevich was the member of the special groups of inter-parliamentary links with Hungary, State of Kuwait, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Indonesia.
In November 2016 he initiated of the State Road Fund establishment, the purpose of which was to create a mechanism for distributing financial revenues for repairing Ukrainian roads.
He is the author of a draft law aimed at creating conditions in Ukraine for the technical inspection of vehicles transporting perishable food products. Also, he took a number of initiatives which significantly impacted on the development of Ukraine’s infrastructure sector, namely: the launch of the international passenger railway connection Kiev-Peremyshl’ and the participation of Ukraine as a transit country in the trans-European project “VIA Carpathia”.
